Bryan H. Long, PE
President
As President of Concrete Matters Bryan Long leads the firm in overall direction and company development. He also works to maintain lasting, positive client relationships and works closely with the project acquisition team. Bryan began his career with our sister company Dane Construction in 1996, and founded Concrete Matters in 2015 with the help of Michael Dane. Bryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is also a registered Professional Engineer. Bryan takes great honor in leading Concrete Matters.
Nathan Foster
Project Manager
Nathan has been a part of CMI since 2017. Starting as a laborer, Nathan quickly rose through the ranks to become Assistant Operations Manager, Estimator, and now Project Manager, overseeing heavy civil and commercial operations. With over twenty years of construction experience, Nathan brings a wealth of expertise to his current role. His attention to detail and adaptability to manage multiple projects at once greatly benefits the CMI team, ensuring ongoing client satisfaction and successful outcomes.
Jeremy LaBasco
Project Manager
Jeremy joined CMI in 2018, bringing over 30 years of experience in concrete construction. Originally from Buffalo, NY, he oversees slipform and flatwork operations, providing leadership and mentorship both in the field and the office. Jeremy's talent for managing multiple projects greatly benefits the CMI team, ensuring ongoing client satisfaction and successful outcomes.
Denise Luther
Director of Safety & Risk Management
Denise serves as the Safety Director and responsible for implementing and managing all safety and risk programs, policies, and procedures. Denise brings strong leadership to the safety team with expertise in construction safety and insurance claims management. Denise began her career in 2002, she has extensive OSHA training and is a certified instructor for OSHA 10 & 30. Additionally, Denise holds her C-MESH, Manager of Environmental Safety and Health, certification.
Curtis Sutton
Director of Business Development
Curtis joined CMI in 2025 with an extensive background in the ready-mix concrete industry, having held leadership roles, including Director of Commercial Sales, serving markets throughout Charlotte and South Carolina.
He brings deep technical concrete knowledge and a proven track record in strategic business development. Curtis excels at identifying market opportunities, building long-term relationships, and negotiating high-value contracts that support our continued growth.
Holland Dowdy
Project Accountant
Holland joined the team in July 2023 as a Project Accountant. A graduate of Appalachian State University, Holland studied marketing and sales, building a strong foundation in communication, organization, and analytical thinking.
Holland is responsible for managing project budgets, tracking costs, and supporting project teams with accurate and real-time financial reporting. His attention to detail and ability to stay organized across multiple projects help ensure smooth financial operations and successful project execution.
